 Congratulations to the @Lightning14uBlack girls for bringing home the win in the USSSA 2018 KEEP CALM & PLAY SOFTBALL tourney!!
While Sunday was a washout, the girls dominating performance on Saturday resulted in a 1st place finish. Their bats were on fire with everyone contributing. Overall, offensively, the girls had 24 plate appearances with 18 hits and only 4 strikeouts as well as our first HR of the season by Emily B which was a 2 run blast to centerfield. Defensively, our pitchers delivered 13 strikeouts over 9 innings and were backed up with strong fielding allowing only 6 hits over 2 games. Great start to the season, Ladies!! Let’s keep it rolling as we prepare for Happy Valley Explosion in May and congratulations on your World Series qualifier!
